How to Remove Vocal From a Song
Complete vocal removal is an age-old problem due to its technical complexity. While there’s still no ideal way to remove vocals from a song, LALAL.AI provides the best solution available today. With its help, you can eliminate voices in any song and extract a quality instrumental track for further use as background music in presentations, social media videos, karaoke, practice, etc. Follow the steps below to remove vocals from any audio.
- Open LALAL.AI in your browser.
- Click Select Files to upload your audio or video file. The service supports MP3, OGG, WAV, FLAC, AVI, MP4, MKV, AIFF, AAC formats.
- In the opened folder window, double click a song to upload it.
- Wait a few seconds until the processing is finished.
- Listen to the stem previews. Click the crossed speaker sign to mute one or the other stem, then click (▶) for playback.
- (This step applies only to premium users) Select the output format. If you want to get the results in the same format as the file you uploaded, skip this step.
- Click the Split in Full button.
- Click the download icon (⤓) within the Instrumental [Full] section.
Tip: If you think that the previews sound overcompressed, or you hear the sounds of one stem leaking into another, try turning off the Enhanced Processing feature.
Click the settings icon located to the left of the previews. Find Enhanced Processing in the drop-down menu and turn it off. Click the Create New Previews button.
If you want to export the results in another format, click the arrow on the Split in Full button and pick a format from the drop-down list.
The resulting files will be downloaded in the same format as the file you originally uploaded, unless you performed the sixth step. The download links to the extracted instrumental and vocal tracks will also be sent to your email.
