Downloading your stem-splitting results in the original format is often a great option. Whether you're working on a new song, editing your latest podcast episode, or fine-tuning your video project, having the output match the input format can simplify the process and maintain audio quality.
However, there are times when you may need your results in a different format, and relying on multiple tools for splitting and conversion can be time-consuming and inconvenient. We’ve received numerous requests from LALAL.AI users to implement this capability, and we’re happy to oblige!
The new output format selection feature is now live on the LALAL.AI website and is available to all users with active minute packs. Let’s dive into the details and see how this exciting new feature works!
Supported Formats
Users can now select from a variety of output formats, including MP3, OGG, AAC, AIFF, WAV, and FLAC for audio files. For video files, the output can remain in the original format or be converted to audio formats.
Automatic Default
If no format is selected, the output will automatically match the format of the uploaded file. For instance, if you upload a song in MP3 format into LALAL.AI and skip the output format selection, the resulting file will be in MP3.
How to Change the Output Format
1. Open the LALAL.AI website.
2. Select the stem you want to extract.
3. Click Select Files and pick a file for splitting.
4. After the file is uploaded, you will see its stem previews. Find the Split in Full button under the previews.
5. Click the arrow next to the Split in Full button to access the format selection menu.
6. Choose your preferred output format from the drop-down list.
7. Сlick Split in Full to start processing. The resulting files will be available in the selected format.
